Compensation for this role: $21.00-$23.00 hourly

Shifts:

2nd shift: Monday - Friday, 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM ($2.00/per hour shift differential)

3rd shift: Sunday - Thursday, 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM ($3.00/per hour shift differential)

Summary:

Fabricates, cuts, and forms metallic and composite core materials for aerospace structural applications. Operates precision fabrication and metalworking equipment to manufacture parts to exact engineering specifications, tolerances, and aerospace quality standards. Ensures all components meet AS9100 and customer requirements for safety, traceability, and performance prior to release to the next operation or final shipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Fabricate aerospace structural components and honeycomb/composite core materials in accordance with engineering drawings, work orders, and manufacturing planning documents.
  • Interpret and follow sketches, specifications, and process sheets to meet close tolerance requirements (±.001–.005 inches typical).
  • Document and certify all process steps in accordance with aerospace quality and special process requirements, ensuring full traceability.
  • Perform layout, trimming, routing, chamfering, and cutting operations within specified tolerances.
  • Utilize precision measurement tools, including micrometers, calipers, depth gauges, height gauges, scales, protractors, and other inspection devices.
  • Operate fabrication equipment such as saws, routers, expanders, and roll formers
  • Perform core stabilization processes per established aerospace procedures.
  • Conduct routine operator-level preventative maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and process control.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and FOD-free work areas in compliance with aerospace manufacturing standards.
  • Participate in cross-training across multiple work cells, fabrication disciplines, or aircraft programs as required.
  • Adhere strictly to plant safety policies, PPE requirements, and environmental health standards.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support production schedules and customer commitments.
