Press Operator - 3rd Shift
Summary
Operates and maintains metalworking machines (shear, punch, drill, saw) on third shift to fabricate components from raw steel stock.
The Machine Operator will operate, adjust, and make simple set ups on shear, punch, drill, saw, thread or similar machines from raw steel stock. This position is for 3rd shift, Sunday - Thursday from 10:30pm-7am.
- Operates machinery including coil-fed and punch presses.
- Must have ability to perform basic maintenance and can successfully change dies.
- Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.
- Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
- Requires standing up to 10 hours per day
- Repetitive use of both hands up to 10 hours per day
- Constant awareness of surroundings
- Requires pushing/pulling/lifting (up to 50 lbs)
- Requires ability to be forklift certified
