Principal Consultant - Landscape Architecture

As a Principal Consultant – Landscape Architecture, you will lead the design and implementation of innovative landscape architecture projects that enhance the natural environment and contribute positively to urban spaces. You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring that designs meet client expectations while adhering to sustainability and regulatory standards. Your role will encompass project management, design development, and client engagement from the initial concept through to project completion.

- Develop and oversee landscape design projects from concept through execution, ensuring alignment with environmental and community goals.

- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and urban planners to integrate landscape solutions into larger projects.

- Conduct site analyses and develop design proposals that consider ecological, cultural, and social factors.

- Should be able to guide and coach junior team members and be able to manage administration duties for the team.

- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure timely delivery and client satisfaction.

- Stay current with trends, materials, and technologies in landscape architecture and sustainability practices.

Skills Required:

- Strong understanding of landscape architecture principles, design methodology, and urban planning.

- Proficiency in landscape design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and GIS tools.

- Excellent project management capabilities, with experience in leading and coordinating multi-disciplinary teams.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective client and stakeholder engagement.

- In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations and sustainability practices.

- Ability to think creatively and innovatively to solve design problems and challenge traditional practices.

- Should posses soft skills and EQ required to perform the role of mentor if required.

Tools Required:

- AutoCAD or similar drafting software

- SketchUp for 3D modeling

- Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) for design presentations

- GIS software for site analysis

- Project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana)

- Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and reporting.
