About the Role
We are seeking a world-class Principal Distributed Systems Engineer to lead the design and development of the core technology powering a next-generation sovereign cloud infrastructure project. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer with expertise in distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and high-performance backend platforms.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and build large-scale distributed systems and cloud infrastructure.
* Develop a high-performance Mixed-Integer Linear Programming (MILP) workload optimization engine.
* Design and implement a SHA-256 immutable billing ledger for secure and auditable billing.
* Build and maintain PostgreSQL Row-Level Security (RLS) architecture for multi-tenant environments.
* Develop a distributed edge compute platform capable of orchestrating workloads across thousands of edge nodes.
* Lead production deployment, load testing, architectural documentation, and knowledge transfer to the engineering team.
Requirements
* Proven experience in Distributed Systems Engineering.
* Strong backend development skills using Python.
* Experience with Mathematical Optimization (MILP).
* Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and multi-tenant database architecture.
* Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud infrastructure.
* Knowledge of cryptography and secure data systems.
* Experience building high-performance backend platforms.
* Experience in edge computing or infrastructure engineering is an advantage.
