Principal Project Engineer – PSC
Wood is currently recruiting for a Principal Project Engineer with extensive experience in the Oil & Gas and Petrochemical Industry on a contract basis.
This role will be based at our Reading office.
The Role
You will be supporting delivery of engineering excellence in their assigned project(s) through coordinating and delivering the engineering for an assigned project scope(s) to schedule and in accordance with applicable procedures, specifications, and standards.

- Coordination of estimate interfaces for PMT MFSC
- Management and resolution of Technical Queries (TQs) from technical team, through multi-disciplinary coordination
- Battery limit clarifications through interaction with PMT disciplines.
- General technical coordination between PMT and project technical team
- Participation in management level meetings
- Action follow-up and close-out
- Active participation in Design Review meetings
- Interface Management activities

Expected:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- Prior background in project engineering preferable
- Engineering experience, with infrastructure (undergrounds or electrical) is beneficial
- Experience in an appropriate industry (ideally in one or more of Oil & Gas, LNG & GTL, Refining, Petrochemicals, Chemicals, Pharmaceutical, Power, Carbon Capture)
- Be commercially astute and understand the different approaches required to managing lump sum and reimbursable work.
- Have a broad technical knowledge.
