Principal Reporting & Analytics Engineer

In this Senior Technical Lead role, you drive design, development, and scaling of UCL’s enterprise Reporting & Analytics platforms. You’ll lead complex analytics solutions, promote service excellence, and mentor teams while delivering secure, reliable data insights. You’ll shape data strategy and analytics delivery to support students, staff and educators. • Design, develop, and scale enterprise Reporting & Analytics platforms and self-service analytics
• Lead dashboards, semantic models, and analytics solutions
• Promote best practices for security, reliability, and data quality
• Mentor junior team members and deliver training across audiences
• Produce high-quality technical documentation
• Lead complex data-migration projects and drive continuous improvement
• Influence change and embed analytics-focused service excellence
• Shape UCL’s data strategy and foster a culture of experimentation and innovation

• Proven track record leading enterprise Reporting & Analytics platforms
• Deep expertise in R&A technologies (Fabric Power BI, Power BI, Tableau, BOBI)
• Experience mentoring teams and delivering training
• Ability to translate complex concepts into actionable insights
• Experience with complex migration projects and ensuring data quality, security, and reliability
