Principal Silicon Photonics Design Engineer

【The Role】
This is a leadership position for the development of next-generation Silicon Photonics and Optical MEMS network products. The ideal candidate should have a proven ability to tackle complex design and manufacturing challenges.

【Key Responsibilities】

• Design, layout, and validate integrated photonic components using industry-standard tools (Ansys/Lumerical, Cadence Virtuoso).
• Collaborate with process engineers to define, optimize, and monitor device designs, process flows, and process control structures.
• Work with packaging teams and suppliers to establish and optimize end-to-end product performance.
• Develop test setup and qualification plans in coordination with validation and test engineering teams.
• Validate system-level performance in collaboration with the team of system architects, IC driver design lead, test engineers.

【Qualifications and Education Requirements】

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Optics, Physics or related field with 6+ years of relevant experience or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Optics, Physics or related field with 3+ years of relevant

【Preferred Skills】

• Passionate about advance photonic design, with deep design expertise(Ansys/Lumerical and Cadence Virtuoso)
• Hands-on experience with passive optical components and active optical devices
• Proficiency in data analysis, modeling, and automation (Python, or equivalent).
• A driven problem-solver who thrives and energizes cross-functional collaboration.
