You will guide projects across Payroll Services, design and build compliant payroll foundations, scale Ruby, Rails, TypeScript, and React applications, solve complex systems problems, mentor engineers, drive products from concept to launch, and build services, tools, and APIs.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical work across multiple Payroll Services teams
- Design, build, and test compliant payroll foundations
- Scale Ruby, Rails, TypeScript, and React applications
- Collaborate on complex systems problems with cross-functional teams
- Mentor and develop engineers
- Drive product development from concept to launch
- Build services, tools, and APIs
- Apply AI and machine learning knowledge to projects
- Evaluate AI-driven outputs
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience
- Ability to build maintainable, structured, and documented code
- Strong knowledge of data structures, data modeling, and system design
- Experience working across three or more teams
- Experience with platform products
- Experience building and supporting large-scale production systems
- Experience operationalizing and scaling interconnected production systems
- Experience in regulated domains such as HR, payroll, taxes, or compliance
- Experience using AI tools to build and test products
- Understanding of evaluating AI-driven outputs
- Knowledge of backend technologies and AI frameworks
