Description

#WeAreIn for jobs that impact everyone's life.

Turning customer whispers into industry-shaking solutions…ready to amplify the future?

As a Principal System Application Engineer in our Technical Marketing team, you work closely with internal stakeholders to turn technical ADAS compute system concepts into innovative reference designs that strengthen our go-to-market strategy.

Are you in?

Your role
Key responsibilities in your new role

Join a highly collaborative team where you will design and validate advanced power supply solutions for next-generation ADAS and autonomous driving applications. Working closely with system architects, technical marketing, and product engineers, you will develop safe, reliable, high-performance system solutions to be offered to customers as reference designs or proof-of-concept solutions.

  • Design and develop automotive-grade power supply solutions for high-performance ADAS/AD SoCs, selecting and optimizing across multi-phase buck, buck-boost, PMIC and LDO/POL topologies to meet demanding efficiency, transient, thermal and EMC targets
  • Ensure power supply designs meet automotive standard for both electrical and functional safety according to ISO26262
  • Act as the technical interface between the ADAS/AD system architect, technical marketing and product engineers in order to translate SoC power supply specifications into robust hardware designs - run Spice and MATLAB simulations, execute prototype bring-up, and perform bench characterization (efficiency, thermals, load-step response, ripple/noise) plus fault-injection to prove robustness and reliability against requirements
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders from business lines across Infineon to ensure optimal system-level solutions using Infineon products, including microcontrollers, power semiconductors, and sensor ICs to power SoCs from various manufacturers
  • Serves as the single point of contact for deep technical discussions incl. technical training and workshops

Your profile
Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

You are a hands-on technical expert with strong communication skills, able to bridge the gap between engineers, system architects, and business stakeholders. You enjoy leading technical discussions, building trusted partnerships, and turning complex requirements into practical solutions.

  • A degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with a strong focus on analog/mixed-signal circuit design in power electronics, and PCB design
  • At least 10 years of hands-on experience in schematic design and layout using industry-standard design tools, including Altium Designer or Cadence Allegro, ideally in the automotive and SoC industry
  • Deep understanding of schematics and electronics components, with the ability to optimize for signal integrity, power efficiency and electromagnetic compatibility
  • Proven experience in power electronics (high current, high-density PCB design) in the 500W+ range - with pre-layout simulation experience
  • Strong experience with microcontroller-based designs and interfacing with sensors, power switches, gate drivers and communication buses incl. functional safety and automotive design standards
  • Practical experience with signal analysis tools, such as oscilloscopes for design validation and debugging
  • Fluency in English

Please send us your CV in English.

Please note that:

  • Subject to meeting all job requirements, belonging to protected categories under Law 68/99 will be considered a preferential requirement
