Description

ADP is hiring a Principal Technical Implementation Consultant.

  • Do you thrive in a results-driven and dynamic atmosphere where client success, collaboration, innovation, and operational excellence are recognized and highly valued?
  • Are you energized by leading through influence, building scalable solutions, and strengthening team capability across a complex portfolio?
  • Are you looking for an inclusive environment with a culture of collaboration and belonging?

Well, this may be the role for you. Ready to make your mark?

In this position, you will leverage deep implementation expertise, operational judgment, and strategic leadership to drive portfolio outcomes across the HCM implementation space. You will partner closely with people leaders to prioritize backlog, monitor initiative execution, and improve results across the portfolio. This role plays a key part in strengthening internal capability, building strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, and identifying scalable ways to improve how the team works.

This is not a role centered on becoming another frontline implementation resource. Instead, this leader will use operational insight, trend analysis, and strong cross-functional partnerships to identify where the organization needs to improve and then drive the right enablement, best-practice adoption, and SME engagement to raise overall team performance.

The nature of what you do every day will remain connected to successful client outcomes, but the scope of your impact will extend well beyond individual implementations. Every day will bring different priorities across initiative leadership, portfolio monitoring, team upskilling, stakeholder engagement, and operational improvement. To thrive in this role, you will need to combine strategic thinking, strong partnership skills, and a sharp eye for where better systems, clearer practices, and stronger team capability can improve results.

WHAT YOU'LL DO: Responsibilities
What you can expect on a typical day:

  • Lead portfolio initiatives. Manage initiatives across the portfolio, including backlog prioritization in partnership with people leaders, execution tracking, risk identification, and results monitoring.
  • Drive operational effectiveness. Analyze ticket trends, productivity metrics, and portfolio signals to identify opportunities to improve triaging, execution quality, and team effectiveness.
  • Build strategic partnerships. Develop and leverage strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to improve readiness, resolve recurring challenges, and strengthen business outcomes.
  • Strengthen team capability. Identify team development needs and drive upskilling on best practices, triaging techniques, and operational disciplines through targeted coaching, enablement, and learning partnerships.
  • Activate the right expertise. Determine when to lead capability building directly and when to bring in Product SMEs or other partners to close knowledge gaps and improve performance at scale.
  • Influence through leaders and systems. Partner with people leaders to improve prioritization, reinforce strong operating rhythms, and embed scalable practices across the organization.
  • Champion continuous improvement. Recommend and implement process, tooling, and workflow improvements that enhance team capability, portfolio performance, and client experience.
  • Serve as a trusted expert. Provide guidance on HCM leading practices, global HCM leading practices, Lyric HCM functionality, and implementation strategies across complex client and organizational needs.
  • Support organizational readiness. Partner across leadership, GPT, Product, and Enterprise Learning to inform change management, training priorities, and adoption of evolving tools, processes, and capabilities.

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE: Requirements

  • You have at least 8 years of experience working in an implementation or business consulting environment
