The impact you’ll makeAs a Process Engineer at Lam, you will operate on cutting-edge technology, harnessing atomic precision, material science, and surface engineering to push technical boundaries. Your role involves developing new and advanced process formulations, defining equipment hardware to meet processing requirements, evaluating test data, and coordinating design requirements to ensure compatibility of processing methods. Your expertise and knowledge play a crucial role our customers success, making an impact on the next generation of semiconductor breakthroughs.What you’ll doResponsible for performing professional process engineering research, development and evaluation in semiconductor environmentReviews processing techniques and methods applied in the manufacture, fabrication and evaluation of products including in-house lab demonstrationsConceives and plans projects involving definition and selection of new concepts and approachesWorks with customer and senior engineers cross functionally to understand roadmaps, process flow, inflection points, requirements and business issues/ challenges.Acts as customer technology manager in the planning, data collection, analysis and reportingActs as single point of contact accountable for process related customer requestsDrives introduction and evaluation of new technologies at customer sites including new tool qualificationOther Job ResponsibilitiesActs as a resource for colleagues with less experience; may lead small projects with manageable risks and resource requirementsWorks with cross-functional teams to get information and results neededFlexibility to travel to meet business requirements (<25% of the time)Who we’re looking forMSc in in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering or Physics with with no previous professional experience; or equivalent experience preferably in the field of wet clean/advanced packagingFamiliarity with working in a chemical laboratory, having experience in surface preparation and analytical techniquesIn-depth understanding and experience in Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Design of Experiments (DOE)Excellent social skills with ability to work within diverse teamsCreative thinking and strong problem-solving capabilities, able to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment with competing prioritiesExcellent oral and written communication skills and presentation skills in EnglishWhat we're offeringThis position is subject to the Austrian Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) for Employees in the Metal Technology Industry in the occupation group F depending on educational background. A higher payment is negotiable depending on education, expertise and skills. The monthly salary is paid 14 times per year.
