The Role

Summary / Primary Role
The Process Engineer drives operational improvements across warehouse, production, and packaging functions at the site. This role applies process engineering and continuous improvement methods to improve safety, quality, productivity, capacity, cost, and customer satisfaction. The position focuses on process design, automation, facility layout, project management, KPI reporting, root cause analysis, and standardization.
What You'll Do
We are seeking an analytical and results-driven Process Engineer who can identify opportunities for operational improvement, lead projects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement sustainable solutions.

Process Improvement & Engineering

Identify opportunities to improve warehouse, production, packaging, and operational processes.
Apply Lean, Six Sigma, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methods to reduce waste, errors, variation, and costs.
Support process design, facility layout, process flow, equipment requirements, SOPs, and process standardization.
Analyze operational data and develop recommendations to improve productivity, capacity, quality, inventory accuracy, and customer satisfaction.

Automation & Capital Projects

Identify automation opportunities and develop business cases, including ROI, labor, and payback analyses.
Support equipment selection, specifications, vendor coordination, testing, startup, implementation, and training.
Participate in automation, facility expansion, process redesign, and other capital projects.
Manage project activities and help ensure projects are completed effectively and deliver expected results.

Data, KPIs & Performance

Develop dashboards, scorecards, reports, and visual management tools to track operational performance.
Monitor KPIs and use data to identify trends, performance gaps, and improvement opportunities.
Track improvement results, including cost savings, labor efficiency, productivity, quality, inventory accuracy, and on-time performance.

Safety, Quality & Continuous Improvement

Ensure process improvements meet safety, quality, environmental, regulatory, and operational requirements.
Support risk assessments, Management of Change, audits, investigations, corrective actions, and EHS initiatives.
Partner with Operations, Customer Service, Quality, EHS, Maintenance, and Leadership to execute improvement initiatives.
Facilitate cross-functional teams, provide change-related training, and promote collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

What You Bring

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
Minimum 2 years of experience in process engineering, continuous improvement, warehousing, logistics, production, packaging, manufacturing, chemical operations, automation, or capital projects preferred.
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred.
Working knowledge of:

Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
Root cause analysis
KPI tracking and dashboards
Data analysis
SOPs and process documentation
Facility layouts and process flows
Equipment requirements
CAD/layout tools

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage change.
Self-motivated, collaborative, and results-oriented.

Compensation & Schedule Details
Base Pay Range: $65,000 – $70,000 per yearBonus Eligible: Not specifiedCommission Eligible: No
No relocation allowance will be considered unless specifically addressed. All applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This position works in an office environment while regularly interacting with warehouse, production, packaging, laboratory, and other operational areas to observe processes, collect data, support trials, and implement improvements.
The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform activities including sitting, standing, walking, reaching, and grasping. Employees may need to walk through operational areas, use required PPE, observe equipment and material-handling activities, and support process trials or improvement events.
