Procurement Category Manager - Logistics

We are seeking a highly motivated Procurement Category Manager to lead strategic sourcing and supplier management activities across key logistics categories.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Own and drive category strategy for assigned Logistics categories (Ground, Air, Ocean Transportation, RMA/VMI/LC Warehousing, Brokerage Services), ensuring alignment with business objectives and supporting additional logistics scopes as needed
• Lead end-to-end sourcing activities, including RFx development, supplier engagement, bid analysis, negotiations, and award recommendations using eSourcing tools
• Analyze spend data, business requirements, and market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities, drive value, and mitigate supply and service risks
• Manage supplier performance through defined KPIs, and drive continuous improvement across the supply base
• Lead commercial negotiations and contract execution in close partnership with Legal and cross-functional stakeholders
• Act as the primary procurement point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring strong alignment and service delivery
• Partner closely with Logistics Operations, Accounts Payable, Legal, and other functions to ensure effective execution and compliance
• Lead supplier relationship management, including selection, qualification, governance, and performance reviews
• Prepare and lead quarterly and bi-annual business reviews, including supplier scorecards and performance tracking
• Manage ad-hoc sourcing activities, spot buys, and urgent operational requirements
• Track and communicate category performance, risks, and market developments to management
• Identify and implement process improvements across sourcing and category management activities

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; Master’s degree a plus.
• 3–5 years of experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, or Logistics-related roles.
• Experience leading RFx events and supplier negotiations for services categories.
• Experience using eSourcing tools preferred.

Skills:

• Demonstrated ability to independently manage a defined category end to end.
• Solid negotiation and analytical skills for services procurement.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Self-motivated, accountable, and results-oriented.
