About the role

The Procurement Manager is responsible for ensuring the efficient acquisition of technology resources and services essential for business operations.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies across IT categories (services, software, hardware and telecommunications) aligned to business objectives and informed by market analysis and supplier trends.
  • Manage supplier selection, performance and relationships to ensure service quality, reliability, risk mitigation and continuity of supply.
  • Lead contract negotiations and oversee contract management, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory and Allianz governance requirements.
  • Drive cost optimisation initiatives, monitor procurement performance and implement best practices to improve efficiency and value outcomes.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs, provide expert guidance and support capability development across the business.
  • Identify and mitigate procurement risks, ensure adherence to procurement policies and contribute to digital transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in IT, Business, Supply Chain or a related discipline, supported by 7–10 years' procurement experience, exposure to Generative AI and a commitment to continuous learning and digital transformation.
  • Proven experience developing and executing procurement strategies that align with business objectives, supported by strong strategic thinking skills.
  • Demonstrated expertise in vendor and managed services environments, with the ability to drive service improvements, monitor SLA performance, and maximise value from supplier partnerships.
  • Proven experience operating in complex, multinational organisations, with the ability to navigate global reporting lines, collaborate across regions, and influence diverse stakeholder groups
  • Strong negotiation and contract management expertise, with the ability to secure favourable commercial outcomes with suppliers.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities, including spend analysis, market assessment and the ability to resolve complex procurement challenges.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across business functions and external suppliers.
  • Proficiency in procurement systems such as SAP MM and Ariba, along with strong Microsoft Office skills and the ability to leverage technology to improve procurement outcomes.
