Product Analyst — Decision Intelligence (Equipment Finance)
Compensation: ₹8L – ₹10L • No equity
About Us
We are an AI-driven analytics platform startup focused on building automated decision-making solutions. Our current focus is Athena, our decision intelligence product for the equipment finance industry — helping lenders turn underwriting, risk, and portfolio data into real-time, automated decisions.
Role Overview
This is a hybrid Business Analyst / Product Analyst role, sitting at the center of product and engineering. You'll translate business and founder requirements into specs our full-stack and data engineers can build against, get hands-on with data to validate what's being built, and own the day-to-day coordination that keeps product and engineering moving in sync. There will be a structured transition window supported by our current product lead — after that, you own this end-to-end.
What You'll Own Translate founder and business requirements into clear specs and user stories for full-stack and data engineering teams Own day-to-day coordination between product and engineering — sprint planning, backlog grooming, unblocking work Get hands-on with data: write SQL queries to validate pipeline outputs and sanity-check product logic against our data architecture Build deep working knowledge of equipment finance — underwriting logic, asset classes, lease/loan structuring — so decision intelligence outputs actually make business sense Track delivery against roadmap and report directly to the founder
Must-Have 2–5 years in business analysis, product analysis, or product management — fintech or lending exposure strongly preferred Strong SQL — comfortable writing and debugging queries against Postgres Working understanding of loan/lease or underwriting workflows in financial services Proven ability to write specs/requirements clear enough that engineers can build without hand-holding High agency — comfortable being the primary point of contact for engineering with minimal oversight
Nice-to-Have Exposure to data pipeline concepts (ETL, orchestration tools like Dagster, layered/bronze-to-gold data architecture) Experience in equipment/asset finance, commercial lending, or NBFC underwriting Familiarity with product ops tools (Jira, Linear, Notion, or similar)
What We Offer Full-time role with a structured transition period, supported directly by our current product lead Real ownership from day one — you'll shape how our decision intelligence products are specified and delivered, not just execute tickets Direct access to the founder, and a clear path to a Product Manager title as you take on more scope A small, sharp team solving a genuinely hard problem in equipment finance
