Product Design & Pattern Maker Assistant

Position Overview:

The Product Design & Pattern Maker Assistant supports the Product Engineer with product development, pattern making, prototypes, and new design projects.

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Grasp project objectives and needs.

· Craft prototypes, drafts, and innovative design solutions.

· Collaborate with team members to bring designs to life and ensure seamless communication and coordination.

· Incorporate user feedback to enhance designs.

· Stay current on industry trends and advancements.

· Contribute throughout the design lifecycle, from concept to completion.

· Tackle special design tasks like color correction across various projects.

· Monitor production quality and provide feedback to help ensure established quality standards are maintained.

· Identify technical sewing challenges and assist with solutions to keep production on schedule.

Qualifications:

· 1+ years of design project experience.

· Collaboration experience with sewing machine operators in a live production setting.

· Understanding sewing steps and ability to create tech-packs for products.

· Strong technical and problem-solving skills.

· Portfolio showcasing a strong foundation in product design and development principles.

· Proficiency in Accumark software.

· Solid pattern-making expertise.

· Knowledge of various textiles, including lightweight, stretch, nylon, cordura, and aramid fibers.

· Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

· Self-motivated with a collaborative approach to teamwork.

· Commitment to maintaining professionalism and integrity in all interactions.

· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, independent work environment.

· Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Working Environment:

This position is based in an office and production environment and requires regular collaboration with Product Engineering, Production, and other team members.
