Active involvement in Business Development for the procurement (product development) of customized specialized parts/ components for collectible series
Job Description
A growing company specialized in collectible series is looking for Procurement Engineer (product development) to join the team dealing with purchasing of OEM products
Understand clients’ requirement – study blue print, obtain models and photos
Collect videos of the dynamic features
Work with 2D & 3D creative freelance and sound engineers
Supply all necessary materials to the vendor/factory to proceed with 3D creation and reverse-engineering
Integrate regulation and safety constraints in the product design
Evaluate the mechanics, the electronics and software solutions selected by the factory
Verify the BOM list
Check the 3D files (STEP, STL, OBJ, …), prototypes, mold layout and coordinate changes
Check the samples (preproduction, and production), and suggest improvements when needed
Assist in the verification of the QC inspection reports
Build good rapport with clients
Need to travel overseas to visit factories in China when necessary
Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical)
Relevant experience as an Engineer in the development of consumer products
Proficient in Excel spreadsheets as well as 3D files (STL, OBJ, STEP)
Some experience handling the China market/ Chinese suppliers is advantageous.
Able to liaise between clients and vendors
Able to work independently and multitask
Well organized and able to manage project timeline, deliveries
