Summary

Product Lead for Rippling's UI Platform team in Bangalore, owning the shared components and frameworks used by all Rippling web and mobile products, plus the core experience users see (homepage, navigation). The role centers on platform product management, digging into technical detail while driving cross-functional execution.

About The Role

As Product Lead for UI Platform, you will own Rippling’s design systems, modular components, and UI frameworks used across all Rippling products on web and mobile, along with the tooling and developer experience for building with them. Through these shared foundations, you will raise the quality and consistency of the user experience across Rippling’s 40+ products while helping product teams build without starting from scratch. Your scope spans traditional UI, server-driven UI (SDUI), and newer generative UI experiences for Rippling AI.

You will help developers and product teams build and maintain high-quality experiences with less effort. A central part of your role is leading the development of a UI framework optimized for AI. Coding agents should be able to discover and understand its components and patterns, reliably generate and test UI, and extend it as needs evolve. The framework will also enable Rippling AI to compose interactive experiences at runtime that present information, collect input, and support actions, while preserving consistency and quality across web and mobile.

Additionally, you will be responsible for the core Rippling experience; from the homepage that users see when they log in to Rippling on web & mobile to how they navigate to different parts of the product. You will ensure that Rippling users – admins, managers and employees – see value quickly from Rippling.

What You'll Do:

  • You will own the strategy and roadmap for Rippling’s design systems, components, and UI frameworks across traditional UI, SDUI, and generative UI, balancing reuse, extensibility, and compatibility
  • You will work closely with designers and engineers on your team to develop UX patterns and technologies that help Rippling’s engineering, product, and design teams build high-quality experiences faster
  • You will work closely with developers and product teams to understand their needs, uncover opportunities, and drive adoption of shared UI capabilities
  • You will own UI tooling and developer experience, including SDKs, documentation, templates, previews, debugging, and testing, with guidance and interfaces that work for both developers and coding agents
  • You will lead the development of frameworks that let Rippling AI present business data, collect input, and support actions through rich, interactive UI across surfaces
  • You will measure success through developer adoption, time to build, and the consistency, usability, accessibility, performance, and reliability of experiences built on the platform
  • You’ll be eager to roll up your sleeves and dig into the technical details while obsessing over a simple, intuitive customer experience
  • You’ll work cross-functionally with virtually every team – across product, engineering, design, marketing, and customer-facing functions – to design an extensible system that can meet the evolving needs of Rippling product teams and our customers

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of Product Management or Engineering experience
  • Experience building platform products or developer tools used by other product teams and developers
  • A passion for building developer products, UI frameworks, and design systems
  • Technical depth to work with engineers on framework design, extensibility, compatibility, and performance
  • Strong product and design judgment, attention to detail, and a bias toward simple, intuitive user experiences
  • Strong ability to motivate others and drive cross-team execution
  • Alignment with our leadership principles: We push the limits of possible, We challenge each other directly, We go and see

If you don’t necessarily meet all of the requirements listed here, we still encourage you to apply because skills can be used in lots of different ways, your life experience is equally important sometimes.
