About iCAUR

iCAUR, created by Chery, is an accessible premium BEV & REEV SUV brand that launched globally at the Shanghai Auto Show in April 2025. Designed for drivers who want design, technology and a premium ownership experience — with the freedom to accessorise and make it their own — iCAUR occupies genuine white space in the market: above the volume Chinese entrants, below the traditional luxury set. Anchored by the "Born to Play" brand spirit and powered by REEV technology that removes the last barrier to going electric, iCAUR launches in Australia and New Zealand in Q2 2027. iCAUR is backed by Chery Automobile — the top-selling Chinese auto brand in China for 15 consecutive years, with more than 7 million vehicles sold worldwide and a trusted joint-venture partner to Jaguar Land Rover in China.

About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Brand, the Product Manager will manage a portfolio of new energy in the the iCAUR range. You'll champion key product events — new model launches, model year changes, and pricing actions — across the full product lifecycle, working directly from engineering specifications, homologation data, and quantitative market, volume, and financial modelling to make evidence-based product decisions from development through to launch and beyond.

What You'll Do

  • Represent the Australian market in global product development reviews, providing local input on specification, compliance, and homologation (ADR, right-hand-drive, emissions and safety standards)

  • Validate vehicle specifications against Australian technical, regulatory, and customer requirements alongside Chery/iCAUR global R&D and engineering teams

  • Lead technical and commercial planning for new model introductions, facelifts, and lifecycle actions

  • Manage cross-functional go-to-market execution across Sales, Marketing, Aftersales, Supply, PR, and Dealer Network teams

  • Oversee the technical accuracy of product marketing materials and customer-facing content, validating every claim against engineering data

  • Ensure pricing strategy, brand positioning, and dealer commercial viability stay aligned through structured competitor benchmarking

  • Lead data-driven market analysis on customer needs, competitor positioning, pricing, and emerging opportunities, translating insights into clear product and pricing strategies

  • Identify and model portfolio gaps and opportunities across segments, powertrains, demographics, and price positioning

  • Coordinate with HQ and global product planning/engineering counterparts on roadmap, specifications, and launch timing

What You'll Bring

  • Ideally 10 years' experience in Automotive operations in Australia, with direct exposure to vehicle engineering, specifications, or technical documentation

  • At least 5 years in Product Planning, Market Intelligence, or Data Analytics, with hands-on quantitative forecasting, statistical analysis, or business modelling experience (Excel, Power BI, or equivalent)

  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marketing, Industrial Design, Business, or a related field — or automotive mechanical/trade experience (formal engineering training strongly encouraged)

  • High mechanical aptitude, with the ability to read and interpret vehicle specifications, engineering drawings, and technical data sheets

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, building and interrogating financial and volume models and translating data into defensible recommendations

  • Demonstrable project management skills, owning and delivering products while managing trade-offs between technical, commercial, and timing constraints

If you're ready to help shape the future of premium electric mobility in Australia, we'd love to hear from you.
