Product Manager / Director, Event Contracts
You will own the end-to-end planning, execution, and growth of the Event Contract product line. You will design product mechanisms and contract specifications, establish market-maker incentive and obligation frameworks, monitor liquidity quality, and optimize user experience and growth. You will analyze trading and competitive data, work with engineering, risk, liquidity, and operations functions, and explore integrations with adjacent product formats.
Responsibilities
- Own the full lifecycle of the Event Contract product line.
- Design Event Contract product mechanisms, specifications, strike-price logic, and settlement mechanisms.
- Define market-maker incentives and obligation metrics for spread, depth, and uptime.
- Monitor order-book quality and improve key liquidity metrics.
- Own user experience, user growth, and business scaling.
- Define and execute acquisition, retention, and activation strategies.
- Track competitors' product mechanisms, fees, volumes, and growth strategies.
- Analyze internal trading data and produce product and growth recommendations.
- Collaborate with Trading Engine, Frontend, Risk and Settlement, Liquidity and Market Making, and Operations functions.
- Explore event-contract opportunities with structured products, social and community mechanics, copy trading, and broker distribution partnerships.
Requirements
- Experience building complex backend systems from 0 to 1, such as trading, advertising, e-commerce, or payment systems.
- Exceptional learning ability, logical reasoning, and quantitative skills.
- Ability to translate business scenarios into data structures and business logic.
- Understanding of financial derivatives principles.
- Strong leadership and data analytical skills.
- Insight into market opportunities and event-contract underlyings including crypto, macro events, sports, and politics.
- Ability to use AI tools for data analysis, documentation, and code or query writing.
