Product Owner (AI)
Summary
Owns and evolves an AI-as-a-Service platform for developers, defining roadmaps, engaging stakeholders, and driving adoption while collaborating with engineering teams on AI tools and agents.
We are looking for a Product Owner (AI) to join Sopra Steria Polska and one of our innovative international squads. In this role, you will lead and evolve our AI as a Service offering for software development teams. We are creating a centrally managed service designed to support developers in using AI agents and tools across the software development lifecycle, transforming isolated experimentation into a governed, scalable capability. The role is primarily focused on service ownership, including roadmap definition, stakeholder engagement, service evolution, and driving user adoption. It also requires a solid understanding of AI technologies to collaborate effectively with engineering teams and support strategic decisions.
Note that we can only offer cooperation to people who are located in Poland and have EU citizenship.

The Polish branch, as the Global Delivery Center, operates in Katowice since 2007 and has been growing ever since. Currently, our team consists of around 1,000 specialists.
Within the Digital Platform Services department, our teams specialize in areas such as cloud, operating systems, virtualization, databases, backup or storage, as well as networking and security. We also have 1st line support consultants who speak French and English, but also Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and German.
The Application Services department is responsible for areas such as software development, data engineering, testing services, CRM, ITSM and ERP platform integrations, as well as application management for customers in Scandinavia, Benelux, France, Germany, Switzerland and the UK.

Salary range:
UOP: 18 000-22 000 PLN gross/month.
B2B: 135-190 PLN net/h

- Experience managing digital services or platforms across their lifecycle (launch, evolution, adoption)
- 5+ years as Service Owner, Product Owner or Product Manager of digital services or platforms (AI domain is preferred)
- Experience working with software engineering or DevOps teams
- Experience defining and managing product or service roadmaps, with measurable KPIs
- Strong understanding of AI and Generative AI concepts, and of their use cases across the software development lifecycle (code generation, review, testing, documentation)
- Knowledge of the current AI developer tooling landscape - AI coding assistants and agentic IDEs (e.g. Kiro, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) and their open-source equivalents
- Ability to understand technical concepts and trade-offs without being a hands-on AI engineer
- EU citizenship
- Fluent English: B2/C1.
- Being open to occasional business trips abroad and visits in our office in Katowice
Nice to have requirements:
- Clearance
- Agile certification (Scrum, AgilePM or equivalent)
- SAFe certification or experience working in a SAFe environment
- ITIL Foundation or practical experience with IT service management
