Key Responsibilities
Product Development & Delivery
Translate product requirements into detailed, actionable specifications -precise enough for engineers and AI-assisted development workflows to build from without ambiguity - and manage the backlog.
Design feature UI/UX hands-on: user flows and mockups, with clearreasoning for every design decision; iterate directly with curriculum and engineering.
Rapidly build proofs-of-concept using AI tools to validate ideas before committing engineering resources.
Test and validate features on staging with role-appropriate accounts to ensure quality and alignment with specifications before release.
Work with engineering and curriculum teams to design, implement and iterate on AI-powered features - including Chinese-language content generation and prompt optimization - with attention to per-use cost and appropriate gating.
Coordinate product releases across web and mobile platforms and maintain product documentation.
Stakeholder Management & Delivery Ownership
Own the delivery timeline of key product features: coordinate engineering and curriculum teams, surface blockers early, chase reviews, and make scope trade-offs to ship on time.
Work with sales and curriculum teams to gather user requirements, prioritize feature requests, and manage expectations.
Support demo creation for exhibitions and sales presentations.
Communicate product updates to internal and external stakeholders.
Product Discovery & Optimization
Conduct user research and competitive analysis to inform product decisions.
Evaluate third-party services and APIs for feasibility, cost and limitations before integration.
Contribute to product roadmap planning aligned with business goals.
Track feature adoption and user feedback across partner schools, and propose improvements with a data-informed mindset.
Must Have:
Working proficiency in Chinese, including writing customer-facing Traditional and Simplified Chinese - the role involves daily hands-on work with Chinese-language product features, AI prompts, and user feedback.
Hands-on UI/UX design experience - has personally carried designs end-to-end (flows, wireframes, mockups), can explain why a design is the way it is, and can do the design work when needed.
Experience prototyping with AI tools - able to go from idea to working proof-of-concept quickly using AI-assisted development, and to judge whata prototype proves and what it doesn't.
3+ years of product management experience, ideally in EdTech, B2B SaaS,or education-adjacent products.
Strong execution skills with experience using Jira or similar tools to manage tickets and coordinate releases.
Excellent communication skills to work effectively with engineering and stakeholder teams.
Ownership mentality - proactively identify problems, propose solutions, and drive initiatives forward without waiting for instructions.
Understanding of agile product development and the software development lifecycle.
Nice to Have:
Experience shipping AI-powered products or integrating AI features intodigital platforms, including prompt design.
Background in educational technology; familiarity with Chinese language education and curriculum models.
Awareness of data privacy and role-based access concerns when handling student and school data.
Startup experience with comfort navigating ambiguity and wearing multiplehats.
Practical coding skills to prototype features and integrate AI capabilities intoproducts.
