What are your contributions to the team?

  • Develop and maintain Data Governance/Management policies and guidelines;
  • Promote data integration and standardization across business units, processes and systems;
  • Develop and lead the Data Knowledge Domain;
  • Assess the state of engineering data within ERP and PLM systems;
  • Identify opportunities for improving data management and recommend solutions;
  • Actively collaborate with domain knowledge owner and stakeholders to implement or improve business processes;
  • Develop and perform audit reports;
  • Develop and publish reports on Intranet sites;
  • Prepare and execute ad-hoc data extract request (SQL and SAP);
  • Own and maintain SQL engineering database requirements;
  • Proactively identify and resolve data related problems;
  • Provide expertise and technical guidance in troubleshooting problems reported by end-user(s);
  • Able to investigate errors back to the root cause;
  • Assist functional teams the understanding the product definition, configuration and release within ERP and PLM systems;
  • Plan and execute data addition, alignment, migration and correction within PLM and ERP systems;
  • Develop and maintain documentation with regard to BM’s, KPI’s, reports and “How To”;
  • Collect, organize and document requirements of engineering tables, objects, security, interfaces, configuration within SAP;
  • Collaborate or review/approve IT projects solution.

How to thrive in this role?

  • ­­­You have a university or college degree/diploma;
  • You have acquired at least five (5) years of experience in a similar role;
  • You have advanced knowledge in configuration management, product definition and release process;
  • You have a general knowledge of engineering data/documents consumers;
  • You have a good understanding of Data Management and Governance principles;
  • You demonstrate initiative and independence in carrying out multiple tasks under a continuously evolving and changing environment;
  • You have good networking skills with peers or cross functional business units;
  • You have strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills;
  • You have a working knowledge of SAP, ENOVIA, Datalink, BDI and Teamcenter and understand how engineering data is consumed and secured within these systems (an asset);
  • You love to work with large scale data analysis and mining;
  • You have a working knowledge of SQL;
  • You are proficient in Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint;
  • You have strong verbal and written English communication and presentation skills – Effectively communicate with non-technical and interdisciplinary teams. French communication skills are desired.
