Analyzes DEA operations in New Jersey, advising leadership on policy, resource allocation, and performance metrics for field division initiatives.
This position is located in the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), New Jersey Field Division. The purpose of this position is to serve as an expert advisor to the Special Agent in Charge (SAC) on operations program and policy for the New Jersey Field Division.
As a Program Analyst your typical work assignments may include: Performs a wide variety of analysis and evaluation functions, such as cost-benefit analysis, return on investment analysis, program effectiveness and efficiency analysis, productivity or workload analysis, and performance analysis, among others. Supports leadership on sensitive, high-level tasks, such as annual performance evaluations, Division selections of senior Special Agents, and coordination with Headquarters to fill critical vacancies within the Division. Acts as a lead for justifying and coordinating resources in support of Division initiatives. Influences policy changes that typically involve long-range, highly complex, and often politically sensitive topics.
