Program Analyst

The Program Analyst provides analysis, monitoring, and administrative guidance within the Medical Service at the VA medical center in Charleston, SC.

The major duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Responsible for data collection, validation, interpretation, analysis, and reporting; Researches, interprets, and analyzes health care policies, directives, regulations, etc.; Determines the impact on Medicine Service operations, functions, funding, staffing levels, and resources; Extracts data using a variety of software packages and sources, and applies analytical techniques to develop recommendations for process improvement; Applies expertise and knowledge of health care delivery systems to monitor, evaluate, and improve quality of patient care and experience; Assists in identifying end-user educational requirements and training needs; Enforces adherence to applicable regulations and instructions regarding access to and release of computerized files, Personal Health Information (PHI), and Personally Identifiable Information (PII); and Performs other related duties as required. Work Schedule: Full-time, 8 am to 4:30 pm. Work schedule may change based on agency needs. Telework (ad hoc): This position may be authorized for telework.
