Program Manager, Enterprise Platform Transformation

A NSW government body has committed to replacing its patchwork of standalone systems with one connected enterprise platform, TechnologyOne OneCouncil. Over the next three financial years, that platform will take over finance, assets, procurement, planning, payroll, property and rates, and customer service. Someone needs to hold the whole picture together, keep the vendors honest, and make sure the promised benefits show up. That's this role.

The role
You'll be the single point of accountability for the program. Day to day, you will:

• Build and run the master roadmap, working out what moves when, and what depends on what
• Chair and drive the program's governance forums, from working-level control groups to the executive steering group and formal stage gates
• Keep the money under control, including budgets, forward spend and vendor costs
• Hold TechnologyOne and every other supplier to their commitments, and escalate when they miss them
• Define how success will be measured for each module, then track whether it's delivered
• Keep the program disciplined about configuring the platform as designed rather than customising it
• Give executives clear, confident briefings they can act on

What the first three months look like
You'll hit the ground running. Expect to set up the program's governance, agree the delivery approach with TechnologyOne, lay down a baseline roadmap for the full three years, put risk and issue management in place, and produce the first executive dashboard. By the end of the quarter, the program should have a clear shape and rhythm.

What you'll leave behind
A version-controlled roadmap, monthly executive reporting, a benefits framework with baselines, a live risk and issues register, governance templates, a vendor performance framework, and a mobilisation plan with a resourcing model.

You'll bring

• A track record of leading large, multi-year ERP or enterprise SaaS programs, ideally in the public sector
• Credibility with executives and the ability to deliver difficult messages well
• Commercial sense and comfort managing multiple vendors at once
• Absolute independence. You and your business can't have a stake in the work you're overseeing, and you'll need to be upfront about any ties to TechnologyOne or other program suppliers
• Hands-on TechnologyOne experience, which will set you apart

The details

• 36 months, fixed term, with no extension option
• 35-40 hours a week, with some on-site time and flexibility on the rest
• Reports to the head of ICT
• Laptop, systems access and parking provided
• Earliest start available
