What you will be doing in the role of a Program Manager, Healthcare Partnerships
The Program Manager, Healthcare Partnerships will support initiatives to achieve the greatest impact in providing patients’ access to high quality breast health care in the U.S. The Program Manager will engage in community outreach to foster partnerships to achieve shared goals and objectives and support dissemination of and recruitment into Komen’s programs. including educational and training programs, Patient Care Center services, research participation opportunities and other initiatives that benefit community members, organizations and providers, This role executes partnership strategy workflows to ensure partnership development is well-documented, and aligned with organizational goals related to innovation, health equity, and influence across the healthcare ecosystem.
What you will bring to the table
- Supporting the planning, implementation, and evaluation of comprehensive, multi-modality community outreach and partnership initiatives about breast health, breast cancer and Komen's mission programs that benefit community members, organizations and providers.
- Identifying key stakeholders (individuals, organizations, coalitions, working groups, other entities, etc.) who are important to advancing Komen’s strategic imperatives and supporting the coordination of stakeholder meetings and collaborations to ensure alignment and achievement of project goals.
- Serving as point of contact with community partners to foster collaboration to achieve shared goals and objectives and support dissemination of and recruitment into Komen’s programs.
- Coordinating and tracking partnership prioritization, tracking engagement and maturity stages, managing cross-team communication
- Prepare briefing materials, organizational profiles, follow-up communications to support outreach or partnership discussions.
- Ensuring that outreach programs are culturally responsive and resonate with diverse populations, including the Black, Hispanic, Latino, and LGBTQ communities and other communities disproportionately affected by breast cancer.
- Ensuring the needs, concerns, and opinions of a diverse community of breast cancer patients, survivors, and those living with metastatic disease are represented throughout Komen’s outreach efforts and programming.
- Continually evaluating the program and feedback from participants to ensure topics and program design remain responsive to changing needs and developments.
- Working with the Komen evaluation team to set goals and KPIs, monitor and evaluate programs, identify opportunities for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of programs, and ensure compliance of data collection and reporting.
- Working closely with the Marketing and Communications team to ensure programs are being consistently promoted, and develop and deliver presentations, speeches and workshops for stakeholders, funders, conferences, and Komen events as needed.
- Identifying, cultivating, and maintaining relationships with external partners to support Komen’s strategic imperative to ensure all people get the care they need and achieve health equity.
- With manager, work collaboratively with the development team and mission operations team to identify, cultivate, and secure funding for community health programs and ensure donor stewardship.
- Identifies and participates in cross-sectoral activities, events, meetings or other engagements in which key stakeholders are anticipated to attend.
- Developing and delivering presentations, workshops, and speeches at coalition meetings, stakeholder engagements, and Komen events to advance community health initiatives.
- Promoting and demonstrating appropriate respect for cultural diversity and competency among coworkers and all work-related contacts.
- Promoting an organizational culture that embraces diversity as a core value.
- Completing all other duties, as assigned.
We know you will have and be able to
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Nonprofit Management, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in project management, partnership coordination, health programs, or similar roles.
- Experience working within healthcare, public health, oncology, or nonprofit ecosystems.
- Knowledge of partnership development frameworks and/or stakeholder engagement strategies.
- Intermediate-level knowledge of breast health, cancer, and related topics.
- Experience with community-based public health program planning and implementation, outcome-based interventions and educational processes driving health equity.
- Experience as a public speaker, attracting and engaging participants and delivering high-quality, creative, and resonant educational content in an online and in-person context.
- Superior technical writing skills.
- A high degree of transparency, strong communication skills, flexibility, diplomacy, and the ability to forge innovative collaborations both internally and externally.
- Technology skills to support program development, management and virtual and in-person program implementation.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.

- MPH, MS or MA in Public Health, non profit management, healthcare administration, or related field
- Strong attention to detail and disciplined management of processes, documentation, and follow-through
- Skilled at building trust and supporting collaborative engagements across internal and external stakeholders
- Comfort navigating ambiguity, shifting priorities, and emerging strategies.

- Competitive salary of $56,000 to $71,000/ annually, exact compensation ranges are based on a range of factors including but not limited to the labor market, job level, internal equity, and budget. Offers given will take into consideration the candidate's skills, education, experience, geographic location, and other necessary credentials.

Komen provides a remote and/or home-based working environment for all active employees. Komen defines remote as the ability to work from any physical location within the U.S. where an employee can perform specified work duties without disruption or distraction. Komen defines home-based roles as positions that are required to reside in a specific market. Work schedules for both remote and home based are determined by the organizational needs of each department.
