Program Manager (Precision Manufacturing)

Summary

Oversee precision-engineering projects from design to delivery, coordinating CNC machining, metrology, and client engagements for high-precision components.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate complex engineering projects from NPI through design, manufacturing, and delivery within the precision engineering sector.
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, while actively monitoring progress and resolving technical challenges.
  • Provide technical guidance in precision manufacturing processes, including CNC machining, micro-fabrication, metrology, and prototype development.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and manufacturability evaluations for high-precision components and systems.
  • Act as the primary technical point of contact for major client accounts, preparing progress reports and leading client presentations.
  • Manage customer engagement and project support, including responding to client calls or emails after standard working hours when necessary.
  • Oversee testing, inspection, and validation processes to ensure compliance with quality standards such as ISO 9001 and AS9100.
  • Monitor key project performance indicators, including timeline adherence, budget compliance, precision quality, and client satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Precision Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 3 to 5 years of program or project engineering experience within the precision engineering or manufacturing sector.
  • Strong technical background in precision manufacturing, CNC machining, CAD/CAM software, and high-precision measurement tools.
  • Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, AutoCAD) and project management applications (e.g., MS Project).
  • Experience managing client relationships across sectors such as Semiconductor, Aerospace, Medical Devices, or Life Sciences.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, organizational, and presentation skills with a professional demeanor for client-facing engagements.
  • Strong multitasking capabilities and the flexibility to handle time-sensitive customer calls or communications outside regular office hours.
