Program Performance Manager
The opportunity
Saab Australia is an industry participant in the Combat Systems Integration – Integrated Project Team (CSI-IPT). The CSI-IPT forms a collaborative enterprise organisation to execute scopes of work across Hobart Class Destroyer (SEA4000 Phase 6 and other related Destroyer Capability Enhancement (DCE) upgrades) and the Hunter Class Frigates (HCFs - SEA5000 Phase 1).
The role
As part of our Engineering and Sustainment Services group, the Program Performance Manager will be responsible for establishing, implementing, and managing the CSI-IPT Enterprise Performance Management Framework to provide timely, accurate, and meaningful insights into program and organisational performance.
Further, the successful candidate will:
Deliver timely, accurate, and insightful enterprise and Tasking Statement performance reporting to stakeholders and leadership.
Manage the CSI-IPT reporting and governance cadence, including performance reviews, reporting cycles, and action tracking.
Drive continuous improvement in performance measurement, reporting, governance, and business processes across the CSI-IPT.
Support the CSI Manager, Project Managers, Engineering Leadership and Industry Partners with performance reporting and analysis requirements.
Develop and maintain the CSI-IPT Enterprise Performance Management Framework, supporting effective governance and decision-making on Program Performance.
Analyse enterprise performance trends and provide actionable insights to support decision-making, and delivery outcomes across the CSI-IPT.
Develop and maintain enterprise dashboards and performance visualisations to provide clear visibility of schedule, cost, risk, resource, and other delivery performance measures as required.
Flexible work arrangements such as hybrid work from home / office and a 9-day fortnight will be considered for this role.
About you
Your skills and experience will include:
Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business, Engineering, Commerce, Finance, or a related discipline.
Formal qualification or certification in Project Management, such as PMP (Project Management Professional), CPPM (Certified Practising Project Manager), or equivalent (desirable).
Qualification or demonstrated experience in Project Controls, Governance, Performance Management, or PMO-related disciplines.
Over 5 years of experience in similar roles within Defence.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide meaningful insights.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including the ability to present information to senior leaders and governance forums.
High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy, consistency, and data integrity.
Proactive and outcome-focused approach with the ability to identify issues and drive corrective actions.
Applicants must be Australian citizens and hold or be able to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance to NV1 level.
