Summary

Oversee Smart Cities and digital transformation projects, coordinating IoT, mobility, utilities, and public safety tech deployments while managing budgets, risks, and cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Delivery

  • Lead end-to-end project management activities from initiation through closure.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation strategies.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to scope, schedule, cost, and quality objectives.
  • Coordinate activities across multiple teams, contractors, consultants, and technology partners.
  • Manage project changes through formal change management processes.

Smart Cities Program Execution

  • Support the development and implementation of Smart Cities initiatives and digital transformation projects.
  • Coordinate deployment of Smart City technologies, including:
    • IoT platforms and sensors
    • Smart mobility and transportation solutions
    • Smart utilities and energy management systems
    • Public safety and security solutions
    • Smart infrastructure and urban management technologies
  • Ensure integration between different Smart City platforms and stakeholders.

Stakeholder Management

  • Engage with government entities, municipalities, utility providers, technology vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Facilitate project meetings, workshops, and governance reviews.
  • Prepare executive presentations, status reports, and project dashboards.
  • Maintain strong stakeholder relationships and ensure alignment of project objectives.

Risk & Quality Management

  • Identify project risks, issues, and dependencies and develop mitigation plans.
  • Ensure compliance with project governance standards and organizational policies.
  • Monitor project performance metrics and quality requirements.
  • Conduct lessons learned sessions and continuous improvement initiatives.

Financial & Contract Management

  • Support budget planning, forecasting, and cost control activities.
  • Track project expenditures and financial performance.
  • Coordinate procurement activities and vendor management processes.
  • Monitor contractor performance and contractual obligations.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Architecture, Urban Planning, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Master's degree is an advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Manager delivering medium to large-scale projects.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Smart Cities projects or related domains (Digital Transformation, Smart Infrastructure, IoT, Intelligent Transportation Systems, Smart Utilities, or Urban Technology).
  • Proven experience managing multi-stakeholder projects and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working with public sector, municipalities, government entities, or infrastructure projects is highly desirable.

Technical Knowledge

  • Project Management methodologies (PMI, PMBOK, Agile, Hybrid, Prince2).
  • Smart Cities technologies and ecosystems.
  • IoT platforms, data analytics, GIS, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Project planning and scheduling tools (MS Project, Primavera P6, Jira, or equivalent).
  • Budget management and project financial controls.
  • Risk management and governance frameworks.

Certifications (Preferred)

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification.
  • PRINCE2 Practitioner.
  • Agile/Scrum Certification.
  • Smart Cities, Digital Transformation, or IoT-related certifications are considered an advantage.
