They foster a collaborative, people-centric environment dedicated to sustainable design, inclusion, and technical excellence across international markets.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Architect to join a specialized mission-critical team in London. In this role, you will lead architectural delivery on large-scale data centre developments across the UK and continental Europe, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, contractors, and international technology clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design Delivery & Technical Coordination: Lead the development, detailing, and technical coordination of architectural packages from concept design through construction administration.

  • Multidisciplinary Integration: Coordinate architectural elements with structural, MEP, and civil engineering disciplines to resolve spatial clashes, interface issues, and technical conflicts.

  • Client & Regulatory Liaison: Lead design review workshops with key client stakeholders; coordinate with local planning authorities, statutory bodies, and building control to ensure full compliance with regional codes and safety regulations.

  • Specification & Quality Assurance: Author and review comprehensive architectural specifications, perform thorough QA/QC audits, and uphold high technical standards across all project deliverables.

  • Site & Contract Support: Conduct site inspections and coordinate with site teams, project managers, and contractors. Assist with requests for information (RFIs), proposed change notices, addenda, and construction phase variations.

  • Digital Design Leadership: Oversee the architectural Revit/BIM workflows, maintaining model hygiene and adherence to project-specific execution plans.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Education & Registration: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (or equivalent foreign degree) and active professional registration (e.g., ARB, RIBA, or international equivalent).

  • Experience Level: Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification architectural experience, with a solid track record (ideally 3+ years) focused on data centres or similarly complex mission-critical / industrial facilities.

  • Software Proficiency: Advanced working knowledge of Autodesk Revit and associated BIM collaboration workflows; proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Project).

  • Technical Knowledge: Proven expertise in UK/European building regulations, statutory approval processes, standard form building contracts, and technical specification writing.

  • Communication & Management: Strong presentation, written communication, and coordination skills, with demonstrated ability to interface effectively with external clients and diverse design teams.

Desirable Attributes

  • Master’s degree in Architecture or an advanced technical design discipline.

  • Experience with computational design and visualization software (e.g., Rhino, Grasshopper, SketchUp, 3ds Max, or Adobe Creative Suite).

  • Demonstrated experience delivering projects under accelerated delivery frameworks in Europe.
