Project Coordinator (Civil/Structural)
Summary
Coordinates civil/structural works for construction projects, reviewing drawings, resolving site issues, and ensuring compliance with timelines and regulations.
Responsibilities
• Assist and report to the Project Manager, overseeing the execution of structural works to ensure timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
• Lead the production, review, and timely submission of Structural Coordinated Drawings (Concrete Body Plan), materials, and method statements according to the master programme.
• Review contract drawings, identify discrepancies, and raise RFIs where necessary.
• Coordinate and resolve structural-related issues with clients, consultants, authorities, and subcontractors.
• Attend weekly and monthly project meetings with consultants and clients to provide progress updates.
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify and resolve issues arising from discrepancies and site conditions.
• Review and verify structural material samples and shop drawings for compliance with project requirements and accuracy across trades.
• Manage submission processes, including coordination with consultants, clients, and Document Controller on approvals, RFIs, and documentation.
• Ensure proper structural and multidisciplinary design coordination, including architectural interfaces where applicable.
• Implement sustainable engineering practices in accordance with project and regulatory guidelines.
• Maintain effective communication and coordination among all project stakeholders.
• Prepare and submit required documents to regulatory authorities to obtain necessary permits and approvals.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties assigned by the Project Manager or management.
Requirements
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the supervision of civil and structural works, preferably in large-scale transit or infrastructure projects.
• Candidates with LTA project experience will be given preference.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Strong knowledge of structural drawings, specifications, regulatory codes, and industry standards.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and relevant structural or coordination software.
• Good understanding of construction processes and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Able to work independently and under pressure to meet project deadlines.
