Project Engineer (LTA Project - Construction of Cycling Path)
Job Descriptions:
- Responsible for all on-site technical and engineering matters related to the project.
- Plan, coordinate and supervise civil infrastructure works, including cycling paths, road works, drainage, utilities and commuter facilities.
- Ensure works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, LTA requirements and contractual requirements.
- Monitor project progress, work schedules and site activities to ensure timely completion.
- Coordinate with LTA, consultants, authorities, subcontractors and other stakeholders on technical and project matters.
- Prepare and review method statements, technical submissions, RFIs, progress reports and other project documentation.
- Assist the Project Manager in project planning, progress claims and monthly progress reporting.
- Supervise and coordinate Site Supervisors, Foremen and subcontractors to ensure compliance with project and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and resolve site, technical and utility coordination issues to minimise delays to project works.
- Ensure Environmental, Safety and Health requirements are complied with at all times.
- Propose cost-saving, productivity improvement and innovative engineering solutions.
- Perform other duties as assigned from time to time.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering recognised by the Professional Engineers Board (PEB) Singapore.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant Civil Engineering experience in LTA projects involving cycling path construction, commuter facilities, road works, or similar infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of civil infrastructure works, site execution and project coordination.
- Experience in coordinating with LTA, consultants, authorities, subcontractors and other project stakeholders.
- Able to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and contract requirements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
- Knowledge of BIM and VDC will be an advantage.
- Organised and meticulous, with a positive work attitude and strong sense of urgency.
- Good interpersonal, communication and analytical skills.
- Able to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced project environment.
- Immediate or short notice availability preferred.
