RESPONSIBILITIES:
The responsibilities
of the Project Engineer are organized around three main areas:
- Collaborate on project estimating and bidding;
- Support the estimating team and determine the
best strategies to respond to qualifications/bids;
- Ensure the quality of submissions according to
client requirements and company quality standards;
- Participate in the development of proposed
construction methods and procedures;
- Contribute to the development of preliminary
schedules;
- Participate in meetings with clients, engineers,
and stakeholders;
- Analyze tender documents and identify technical
issues;
- Prepare and follow up on requests for information
(RFIs) with the client.
- Plan and ensure proper coordination of work with
all stakeholders;
- Participate in updating project schedules;
- Define and optimize construction methods and
procedures;
- Review and track shop drawings and contractual
documents;
- Manage and follow up on technical questions and
contract changes;
- Communicate with the client regarding
clarifications and changes;
- Participate in project meetings with clients and
partners;
- Ensure compliance with contractual requirements,
including health and safety;
- Obtain and monitor required permits and
authorizations.
- Ensure compliance with company quality standards;
- Integrate corporate requirements (HSE, quality,
contractual compliance);
- Contribute to best practices in estimating and
execution;
- Support the continuous improvement of methods and
processes;
- Collaborate
with internal teams;
- Ensure effective transfer of information between
project phases.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or
Construction Management or equivalent;
- 7 years of experience in construction, both in
the field and in bidding;
- Experience on large-scale projects such as
hydroelectric, infrastructure, or other relevant expertise aligned with
our project portfolio;
- Experience
in bid preparation;
- Ability to work on-site;
- Bilingualism (French and English) is an asset;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word,
Excel, Access);
- Strong knowledge of project management software;
- Advanced knowledge of MS Project and AutoCAD is
an asset.

In accordance with applicable pay transparency
legislation, EBC Inc. has included the expected salary range for this role,
which is $60,000 - $100,000. Compensation within the range is
determined based on relevant experience, qualifications, localization, and
internal equity. Base salary is one component of EBC’s comprehensive total
rewards offering, which may include performance-based incentives, extended
health and wellness benefits, retirement savings programs, and career
development opportunities.
