The Project Manager 3rd Party Services is primarily responsible for providing detailed project management support to cover contractors other than the EPC contractor. The Project Manager 3rd Party Services will provide key support in defining work scope, specifications, and activities and will manage the engineering consultants and construction management services as well as cost reporting and scheduling for the 3rd party services.This position will be located at the EPC Contractor’s office in Houston and may transition to the Cameron Liquefaction Project site in Hackberry, LA, depending on requirements. Transportation Worker Identification Credentials (TWIC) will be required.
- Coordinates, negotiates, and provides project management services for the 3rd party services and contractors.
- Responsible for budget and cost control, for coordination of all the third party support activities including the budget during the detailed engineering through construction, commissioning and startup and turnover to operations
- Responsible to ensure that the 3rd party services deliver the Owner obligations to the EPC Contractor on time
- Manages vendors/contractors to ensure they deliver the value and services for which they have been contracted.
- Participates in technical reviews and coordinate with project engineering support to ensure that the design is consistent with established criteria.
- Orders materials from established vendors and controls material supply to support construction schedule.
- Ensures deliverables are prepared and submitted to appropriate stakeholders.
- Works closely with construction site management during the field construction phase of the project.
- Strives to cultivate and maintain a good working relationship with the contractor’s personnel.
- Assists in quantity take-offs, project evaluations and estimation for projects being provided by 3rd party services
- Prepares and documents all work and make thoughtful and concise recommendations to management.
- Support the development and implementation of strategies to meet company and corporate goals that integrate technical, operational and regulatory requirements.
- Ensures technical integrity of process design is maintained by selection of cost efficient and appropriate technical design and engineering standards in conjunction with the EPC Contractor, his team members and external specialist consultants
- Prepare technical reports and presentations for company personnel during each phase of the project
- Approves and administers deviations from adopted design codes and standards for 3rd party services.
- Monitors, reports and integrates the progress of the 3rd party services with the EPC Contractor works
- Interfaces with relevant departments within the Company
- Performs supervisory duties and provides guidance to subordinate engineers as may be requested
- Performs other duties as assigned (no more than 5% of duties)
