Project Manager II, Energy

As the Project Manager II - Energy, you will serve as a key driver of the company's energy strategy, leading projects that improve efficiency, reduce environmental impact, and support financial performance. From developing business cases and managing budgets to coordinating stakeholders and analyzing energy consumption data, you'll have the opportunity to influence decisions at every stage of the project lifecycle.

This role requires a strategic thinker who can balance big-picture planning with detailed execution. You'll collaborate closely with Finance, Operations, IT, Legal, Procurement, and external partners to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with organizational goals. • Manages and drives ownership of Maintenance CAPEX (Capital Expense) and Expense Projects including all Solar Energy. Follow completion of project through 25-year lifecycle of the warranty contracts. Work with Procurement teams on various RFP’s (Request for Proposal) etc...
• Effectively manage project scope by ensuring any changes to scope are documented and approved
• Track and report on project milestones and provide status reports
• Lead, coach, and motivate project team members on a proactive basis
• Determine how results will be measured and complete a post-project evaluation to determine how well results were achieved
• Develop tools and best practices for project management and execution

What We Are Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Energy Management, Construction Management, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Five or more years of project management, energy management, facilities, construction, utilities, or related industry experience.
• Strong understanding of energy systems, energy distribution, and their impact on organizational performance and operating costs.
• Ability to assess, monitor, and report on environmental impact, sustainability initiatives, and energy-related policies.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to transform complex data into clear insights and recommendations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including experience presenting to leadership teams.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word.
• Proven ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and work effectively across cross-functional teams.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 20%.

You'll Go the Extra Mile If You Have

• Experience managing large-scale energy efficiency, sustainability, utility, or renewable energy projects.
• Knowledge of solar energy systems, energy procurement, utility programs, or energy savings calculations.
• Experience with capital expenditure (CAPEX) planning and financial analysis.
• Familiarity with contract negotiations, vendor management, and professional services agreements.
• Working knowledge of sustainability reporting, environmental compliance, or corporate energy management programs.
• Project management certification such as PMP, CAPM, or equivalent.
• Experience leading RFP processes and managing third-party vendors.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large data sets and performance reporting.
• Passion for sustainability, continuous improvement, and driving measurable business results.
