Project Manager Localization
About the role
We are looking for a driven, detail-oriented Project Manager Localization to lead the end-to-end operational execution of our multilingual releases. In this role, you will act as the crucial operational bridge between internal teams and external parties. You will design efficient translation workflows, integrate localization technology, manage translation budgets, and ensure our products and content feel completely native to users across global markets.
Key responsibilities
1) Project & Workflow Management: Plan, execute, and monitor continuous localization workflows across software applications, websites, and marketing campaigns from initiation through delivery.
2) Vendor & Linguistic Resource Management: Recruit, onboard, and manage external translation agencies (LSPs), freelance linguists, and QA testers. Negotiate rates and oversee vendor performance.
3) Tech Stack Optimization: Administer and optimize Translation Management Systems (TMS) (e.g., Crowdin, Smartling, Phrase) and manage automated integrations with code repositories (GitHub, GitLab) and CMS tools.
4) Quality & Linguistic Assets: Build and maintain core linguistic assets including Glossaries, Style Guides, and Translation Memories (TM) to maintain global brand consistency.
5) Quality Assurance (LQA): Direct In-Context QA and Linguistic Quality Assurance processes to ensure text layouts, character encodings, and cultural nuances meet high standards without breaking product UI.
6) Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with developers, product managers, and marketers to promote best practices for internationalization (i18n) and localization (l10n) early in the development cycle
7) Budgeting & Metrics: Track localized word counts, manage project budgets, monitor KPIs (delivery turnaround, linguistic accuracy rates), and optimize operational ROI
Qualifications
3–5 years of project management experience specifically within localization, translation, or international program management.
Hands-on experience with modern Translation Management Systems (TMS), CAT tools, and platform integrations (e.g., Figma, GitHub, Contentful, Jira).
Familiarity with AI-driven translation workflows, Machine Translation Post-Editing (MTPE), and automated content synchronization.
Strong grasp of Agile/Scrum software development lifecycles and traditional PM methodologies.
Excellent verbal and written English skills; fluency in additional languages is a major advantage.
Bachelor's degree in Translation Studies, Computer Science, Business, Localization Management, or equivalent practical experience.
Candidates must possess Thai nationality and full legal authorization to work in Thailand. Sponsorship for work visas and work permits is not available for this role.
