Project Manager – Sedalia Office
Septagon Construction is accepting applications for a Project Manager position in our Sedalia office.
This position is responsible for helping coordinate construction projects from estimating and preconstruction through project completion. The Project Manager works closely with customers, field leadership, subcontractors, suppliers, and other members of the Project Sales and Delivery team to help ensure projects are completed successfully and with a high level of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate project scheduling, communication, procurement, and project documentation.
- Assist with and/or prepare project estimates, quantity take-offs, and material requirements.
- Coordinate the purchasing of materials, services, and subcontracted work.
- Review subcontractor quotations, shop drawings, subcontracts, insurance documentation, and purchase orders.
- Participate in preconstruction meetings and help establish procurement and subcontractor schedules.
- Maintain communication with field leadership regarding project schedules, material deliveries, and project needs.
- Administer assigned projects after award, including invoicing, submittals, change orders, job cost/profit monitoring, and project close-out.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and fellow employees.

Ideal candidates will have:
- Knowledge and experience in commercial construction, project coordination, estimating, or a related area.
- A strong understanding of construction processes, plans, specifications, materials, and/or field operations.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to problem-solve, prioritize responsibilities, and work with limited supervision.
- An understanding of project costs and sound fiscal management.
- The ability to build effective working relationships and work collaboratively with office and field teams.
- A positive, professional attitude and demonstrated dependability.
Prior project management experience and/or applicable education is preferred; however, relevant Septagon experience, construction knowledge, demonstrated performance, and readiness to grow into the position will also be considered.
