Project Manager

Salary: $1000/day + super

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the delivery of technology initiatives within a large, complex enterprise environment undergoing significant technology investment and transformation.

This opportunity sits within an established IT Sustainment program, focused on coordinating and delivering technology initiatives that support the reliability, performance and ongoing evolution of critical business systems and services.
Working closely with technology teams, business stakeholders and external vendors, you will take ownership of project delivery activities, ensuring initiatives are well planned, effectively governed and delivered in line with agreed objectives, timeframes and budgets.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of IT projects and sustainment initiatives, from initiation and planning through to implementation and closure.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, resource forecasts and delivery documentation.
• Coordinate internal technology teams, business stakeholders and third-party vendors to achieve agreed delivery outcomes.
• Manage project risks, issues, dependencies and competing priorities, escalating matters where required.
• Oversee project governance, reporting, financial tracking and stakeholder communications.
• Coordinate technology upgrades, system improvements, remediation activities and planned changes, as relevant to the project scope.
• Work collaboratively with operational teams to manage implementation activities while minimising disruption to business-as-usual services.
• Support testing, deployment, transition to support and post-implementation activities.
• Maintain clear visibility of project progress, milestones, deliverables and emerging delivery challenges.

About You:
You are an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in technology delivery and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments.
You will ideally bring:

• Demonstrated experience delivering IT projects within a large organisation.
• Experience managing technology implementations, upgrades, migrations, system enhancements or IT operational improvement initiatives.
• Strong project planning, governance, risk management and reporting capabilities.
• The ability to coordinate technical teams, business stakeholders and external service providers.
• An understanding of IT operations and the importance of maintaining service continuity during project delivery.
• Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• A proactive, organised approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities and drive projects towards successful outcomes.
