Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Clinical Rater who is fluent in Spanish to join our clinical research team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting standardized clinical assessments, rating scales, and evaluations as part of clinical trials and research studies. This role requires strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with research teams to ensure accurate and reliable data collection.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Assessment & Rating
- Administer and score standardized clinical rating scales and assessment instruments (such as MADRS, SCID-CT, C-SSRS, MMSE, MGH-ATRQ, CGI-S, SIGH-D
etc…)
- Conduct structured clinical interviews with study participants
- Evaluate patient symptoms, behaviors, and treatment responses using validated rating tools
- Ensure accurate completion of case report forms and clinical documentation
Data Quality & Compliance
- Maintain high standards of data accuracy and consistency across all assessments
- Follow Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and study protocols
- Participate in training sessions and maintain certification for specific rating scales
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and institutional policies
Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with principal investigators, study coordinators, and clinical staff
- Participate in team meetings and case discussions
- Communicate findings and observations to the clinical research team
- Provide input on assessment protocols and procedures
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, or related clinical field
- Proficiency in Spanish language (Read, write, and speak)
- Minimum 1-2 years of clinical experience in mental health, healthcare, or research settings
- Experience with standardized clinical rating scales and assessment tools
- Strong understanding of clinical research principles and methodology
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple assessments simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in clinical trials or pharmaceutical research
- Certification in specific rating scales (MADRS, HAMD, PANSS, CGI, etc.)
- Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines
- Experience with electronic data capture (EDC) systems
