PT Software Engineer (Chinese Speaking)
Summary
Part-time maintenance engineer for an education company's in-house ERP system in Kuala Lumpur: fixing bugs and making minor improvements across a React/TypeScript frontend, backend, and PostgreSQL/Supabase database, with occasional Docker/server deployment support. Requires 2+ years' development experience and Chinese/English communication.
Salary: RM 350 – RM 500 per month
JOB SCOPE
Maintain the company's existing ERP system and resolve bugs, system errors and technical issues.
Troubleshoot and fix frontend (React / TypeScript), backend and database-related issues.
Carry out minor system improvements and modifications when required.
Assist with server, Docker and deployment-related issues.
Document major fixes and ensure system and customer data security.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 2 years of experience in software development.
Proficient in TypeScript, React and Supabase.
Practical experience with PostgreSQL, Supabase Auth, RLS, Database Migrations and RPC.
Familiar with Git / GitHub.
Basic experience with Linux VPS and Docker Compose troubleshooting.
Able to independently troubleshoot frontend, backend and database issues.
Experience maintaining systems built by other developers is an advantage.
Able to use AI coding tools responsibly and verify all code changes before deployment.
Good communication skills and responsible handling of confidential information.
WORKING ARRANGEMENT
Low workload, with an estimated average of 1–2 bugs or maintenance requests per week, depending on actual system needs.
Work is assigned based on actual maintenance requirements; daily work is not required.
All reported issues must be acknowledged and initially assessed by the next business day.

Able to communicate in Chinese and English.
