Python Developer

In this role, you will build and maintain enterprise-scale applications for Wholesale Credit Risk Technology, collaborating with onshore and offshore teams. You will apply Python and FastAPI to deliver front-office and credit-risk solutions, while leveraging modern ML/LLM techniques to enhance risk workflows. You’ll work in a fast-paced environment, contributing to Citi’s leadership in financial services tech and risk management. This is an opportunity to shape critical risk systems and learn across business and technology initiatives.

• Develop and maintain enterprise-grade Python applications using FastAPI
• Collaborate with onshore, offshore, and matrix teams to deliver business solutions
• Participate in CI/CD pipelines and containerized environments (Kubernetes)
• Investigate and resolve complex production issues and bugs
• Communicate progress to project leads and stakeholders
• Explore and implement ML/LLM-based approaches (RAG, Model Context Protocol) to enhance risk workflows
• Contribute to front-office and Credit Risk Business technology initiatives
• Support financial services domain requirements and best practices

• 3+ years of hands-on Python and FastAPI development
• Hands-on development experience in Python
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Kubernetes
• Strong collaboration and communication with development teams
• Ability to work with onshore, offshore, and matrix teams
• Experience troubleshooting production issues
• Recent experience with LLM, Model Context Protocol, and Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG)
• Preferably experience in Financial Services domain
