A medior-or-above Python Developer joins the internal development team of a growing consumer brand in the Netherlands, building and maintaining the Python applications and services the business relies on. Day to day: writing clean, tested, documented code, taking part in code reviews, tackling technical debt, and improving reliability, security and uptime.
On behalf of a growing consumer brand, we’re looking for a Python Developer to join their development team as it enters its next phase.
This is a hands‑on role in a team that’s raising its engineering standards. You’d build and maintain software that the business relies on, working alongside a new technical team lead and other developers. The focus is on stable, secure and maintainable code, and on being someone who takes real ownership of what you ship.
Responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain Python applications and services
- Write clean, tested and well-documented code, and take part in code reviews
- Work closely with product owners and teammates to deliver features predictably
- Help tackle technical debt and improve reliability, security and uptime
- Share knowledge across the team, so no one becomes a single point of failure
- Make smart use of AI-assisted development where it genuinely helps
Your Profile
- Solid experience as a Python developer, at medior level or above
- Good engineering habits: testing, code review, documentation and thinking about operations
- A sound technical judgement and the confidence to challenge ideas constructively
- Curiosity and a drive to keep growing your craft
- Experience in a more mature engineering environment is a plus
- A collaborative, direct and reliable way of working
