Python Software Engineer - Regulatory Technology - Selby Jennings
You will design, build, and maintain complex technology solutions that underpin regulatory and compliance functions, helping to identify, manage, and mitigate risks within a dynamic and constantly evolving environment. The position offers significant exposure to cross-functional collaboration, working closely with technology, compliance, operations, and business stakeholders. To be successful, you will have 8+ years of software engineering experience, with strong expertise in Python development and a solid understanding of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) technologies. Experience delivering scalable, high-quality solutions within regulated environments would be highly advantageous.
What you'll be doing:
- Design and develop regulatory reporting systems using Python and RPA tools
- Assess risks and challenges within a changing regulatory environment
- Develop and manage data quality and assurance utilising database tooling
- Optimize and improve existing reporting platforms and systems
- Provide technical support across the wider regulatory environment
- Partner with IT and compliance stakeholders to ensure quality and requirements are met
Key Skills:
- 8+ years software development experience, with a focus on Python
- Experience with Robotic Process Automation (RPA)
- Experience with SQL and database tooling
- Experience with derivative products across financial services
- Strong problem-solving skills with an analytical approach
- Knowledge of modern technologies, architecture and cloud services
- Experience working with non-technical stakeholders
