The Qualifications We Seek

Education and Professional Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent qualification
• 3 to 5 years of experience in software engineering or a similar role, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience
• At least 3 years of production-level Python development experience using modern web frameworks such as Django, FastAPI, or Flask

Technical Skills and Expertise

• Experience in designing, developing, and consuming RESTful APIs
• Strong knowledge of relational databases and SQL, preferably PostgreSQL
• Experience with background job processing and task queues, such as Celery or similar technologies
• In-depth knowledge of automated testing frameworks, including pytest or equivalent tools
• Proficiency in Git and GitHub for version control and team collaboration
• Working knowledge of frontend development technologies, including HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript

Professional Skills and Competencies

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a software development team
• Self-motivation and commitment to delivering high-quality software solutions

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in frontend application development using React and TypeScript
• Experience in application deployment and operations using Amazon Web Services (AWS)

Your Daily Tasks

Essential Duties

• Develop new application features based on the product roadmap using efficient, well-structured Python code and established software design patterns.
• Maintain and enhance existing application code, automated tests, and software functionality.
• Develop and integrate applications with multiple third-party RESTful APIs.
• Design, develop, and implement enterprise-scale software solutions aligned with organizational strategies and business objectives.
• Apply modern software development principles, methodologies, tools, and processes to support new business capabilities.
• Collaborate with software development teams to define technical specifications and requirements for new applications.
• Write clean, high-quality, well-documented code to deliver complete applications within established timelines.
• Perform unit and integration tests before application deployment.
• Evaluate application functionality, performance, and reliability to ensure compliance with established quality standards.
• Conduct software design and code reviews to maintain technical accuracy, code quality, and development best practices.
• Integrate software applications with third-party products and existing IT infrastructure.
• Maintain and expand technical expertise in emerging technologies, software products, and application versions.
• Review business requirements and data models, and translate them into reliable applications and scalable software architectures.
