Python Test Engineer for Financial Processing Platform

Designs and implements automated Python tests for a financial processing platform, covering transactions, payments, refunds, subscriptions, channel integrations and the analyst-facing UI, and wires tests into CI/CD pipelines. Core stack: Python, SQL, Git and CI/CD tooling.
Summary
The primary goal of this role is to enhance and ensure the quality of a comprehensive financial processing platform that manages transactions through automated testing.
Main Responsibilities
Core duties include the following:
Investigate the financial processing engine, user interface (UI), integrations, and dependencies to identify testing gaps.
Design and implement automated tests covering various aspects, including transactions, payments, revenue sharing, accruals, refunds, cancellations, subscriptions, and financial rules.
Test internal and external sales/payment-channel integrations.
Test the analyst-facing UI and its integration with the processing engine's backend.
Address edge cases, ensure data correctness, handle retries, duplicate processing, partial failures, and recovery measures.
Integrate appropriate tests into CI/CD pipelines.
Key Requirements
Strong Python skills
Basic SQL skills.
Experience in manual and automated testing, including integration and end-to-end testing.
General understanding of relevant technologies such as data processing, cloud computing, system integrations, interfaces, APIs, CI/CD, SDLC, and Git.
Ability to independently investigate and identify testing needs within an unfamiliar system.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Self-driven and adaptable to new technologies.
Excellent communication skills.

Prior experience with Databricks.
Experience in financial processing.
