QA Automation Engineer

Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled QA Automation Engineer with strong background in web automation and modern testing frameworks to join our Nearshore Quality Engineering (QE) team. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in Java or JavaScript-based automation frameworks, Cucumber, and API testing, along with a strong understanding of Agile practices. .
Responsibilites
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for web applications.
- Implement and execute automated test cases using Selenium and BDD frameworks such as Cucumber or TestNG.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (developers, product owners, QA) within Agile methodologies.
- Ensure test coverage across functional, regression, and integration testing layers.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous validation.
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with development teams to resolve issues.
- Contribute to test reporting and metrics using tools like Allure Reporting.
- Support API testing and validation efforts where required
- Prepare test documentation, reports, and contribute to continuous quality improvements.
- Collaborate closely with development and product teams within an Agile environment.
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and testing-related ceremonies
Requirements
Qualifications
- 5+ years of Software testing experience within Software Development project team with Test Case Development and execution skills
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in test automation
- Strong Experience in languages like Java, Javascript, Python
- Strong Experience of test automation with Selenium / Web driver IO / Cypress / Playwright
- Experience working on API testing using Postman or Rest Assured.
- Hands on with automation frameworks like Cucumber /Behaviour Driven Development/TDD/TestNG
- Working knowledge with test and defect management tools along with execution on CI/CD pipeline.
- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and working in Agile teams
- Good experience with different types of Testing ( Manual, Front end, Web testing, UI, Regression, Functional, UAT)
- Having exposure to Github and Allure Reporting is a great asset
- Good Communications Skills and attention to detail
