Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced QA Automation Lead with strong expertise in Playwright to lead the automation testing strategy and implementation across enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will design and build scalable Playwright automation frameworks, mentor QA engineers, establish best practices, and drive automation adoption across the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks using Playwright.

  • Lead the automation strategy for web application testing and ensure maximum test coverage.

  • Guide and mentor the QA team in learning, implementing, and adopting Playwright automation.

  • Define automation standards, coding practices, and framework architecture.

  • Develop and execute automated functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end test suites.

  • Integrate Playwright test automation with CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.

  • Review automation code, provide technical guidance, and ensure high-quality deliverables.

  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product teams to understand requirements and build effective test strategies.

  • Analyze test results, troubleshoot failures, and drive defect resolution.

Required Skills

  • 8–12 years of experience in QA Automation and Testing.

  • Strong hands-on expertise in Playwright using JavaScript or TypeScript.

  • Proven experience in building Playwright automation frameworks from scratch.

  • Experience in API automation and end-to-end web application testing.

  • Strong understanding of test framework design, reusable components, and automation best practices.

  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.

  • Knowledge of Git, version control, and test reporting tools.

  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and team collaboration skills.

Good to Have

  • Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery models.

  • Knowledge of performance or API testing tools.

  • Experience working in enterprise or cloud-based application environments.
