Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Automation Test Engineer / QA Automation Lead with strong expertise in test automation and quality assurance within the Payments Domain. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing robust automation frameworks, automating complex payment processing systems, and driving QA excellence across multiple projects.

This role requires hands-on automation expertise, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of modern testing practices in Agile environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks.
• Automate testing for Web applications, APIs, Databases, and Microservices.
• Review business requirements and define automation strategies.
• Develop reusable, maintainable, and efficient automation scripts.
• Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines.
• Execute regression, smoke, sanity, and end-to-end test suites.
• Perform defect root cause analysis and recommend quality improvements.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and DevOps teams.
• Prepare automation execution reports, dashboards, and quality metrics.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Grooming, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Support production validation and issue analysis when required.
• Mentor junior automation engineers and conduct code reviews.
• Drive automation best practices, coding standards, and quality initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in Software Testing.
• 7+ years of hands-on Automation Testing experience.
• 5+ years of Payments Domain experience.
• Experience in end-to-end payment processing systems and transaction validation.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Strong expertise in Java Automation Framework Development

Hands-on experience with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, and REST Assured

Deep understanding of Payments, Transaction Processing, Settlement, and Reconciliation

Experience integrating automation with CI/CD pipelines

Proven experience leading QA automation teams and initiatives
