QA Automation Testing Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced QA Automation Testing Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Playwright and TypeScript, focusing on UI automation, framework development, API testing, and automation best practices.

Role & responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript.
• Create and execute cross-browser automated test scripts for web applications.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, end-to-end, and API testing.
• Develop reusable automation components and test utilities.
• Integrate automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines.
• Identify, analyze, and report defects with clear reproduction steps.
• Troubleshoot test failures across application, script, and environment levels.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA teams on requirements and test scenarios.
• Participate in code reviews and improve automation standards.
• Maintain test documentation, reports, and metrics.

Preferred candidate profile

• 5+ years of experience in QA Automation Testing.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Playwright and TypeScript.
• Experience building or enhancing automation frameworks.
• Knowledge of Playwright locators, assertions, fixtures, hooks, and Page Object Model (POM).
• Experience in cross-browser and parallel test execution.
• Good understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript fundamentals.
• Experience with API testing and REST APIs using Postman or Playwright API testing.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and testing methodologies.
• Experience with Git/GitHub/GitLab.
• Understanding of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
